WASABI SAUCE
1 tsp wasabi powder or 1 tsp dry hot mustard or 1 tsp wasabi mayo
1 tsp water if using powder
1 tbsp rice vinegar
2 tbsp mayo
1 garlic cloves (crushed)
TUNA
1 tbsp soy sauce
1 tbsp vegetable oil (olive, canola etc is ok too)
1/2 tsp wasabi powder or 1 tsp dry hot mustard or 1 tsp wasabi mayo
2 fresh tuna steaks (1-1.5 lbs,1 1/2 inch thick)
DIRECTIONS
---Sauce----
1) In a bowl mix wasabi (mustard) powder and water to make paste (or just use wasabi mayo)
2) Let stand 10 minutes
3) Stir in vinegar, mayo and garlic
4) Set aside
---Tuna----
5) Prepare grill with medium-hot coals
6) In a cup, mix the soy sauce, oil and wasabi powder
7) Brush on tuna
8 Grill for 3-4 minutes on each side for rare tuna
9) Thinly slice the tuna and serve with the Wasabi sauce
I used the Wasabi mayo instead of the powder. It came out great. Tom
