8oz tuna steaks , 3/4″ thick
2tbsp dark sesame oil
2tbsp low-sodium soy sauce
1tbsp ginger root
1clove garlic, sliced
11tsp fresh lime juicetsp sesame seeds for garnish
1scallion, thinly sliced for garnish


  1. Mix marinade ingredients together in a container large enough to hold tuna. Put tuna steaks in and turn to coat. Cover and refrigerate for one hour, turning occasionally.
  2. Heat non-stick skillet to high heat. Sear tuna steaks 1 minute on each side.
  3. Remove steaks from pan and slice into 1/4 inch slices on the diagonal. Sprinkle with scallion slices and sesame seeds.
  4. Makes two servings.
