1 to 1.5 lbs of scallops
3 TBS flour
4 TBS melted butter
6 TBS bread crumbs
salt & pepper
Butter a shallow baking dish. Wash the scallops, dry well, and sprinkle lightly with flour.
Place scallops in the pan and brush with melted butter.
Sprinkle bread crumbs over scallops and mix well.
Brush with more butter and add more bread crumbs.
Season lightly with salt and pepper.
Place under preheated broiler, broil for 5 minutes.
Decrease heat to 350, stir bottom of pan and broil slowly for 10 minutes longer.
This is a great appetizer or as a delicious topping on Fettucini al' Alfredo
